Same-game parlays: how we tested it
Legs in one game aren’t independent. We measured how they move together in the 2024 season, then checked the prices on every same-game pair in 2025, a season the model never saw.
- A quarterback and his own receiver, both over or both underReally hit 31.0%Multiplying the legs said 25.1% · our model said 28.4%
- Any two legs that tend to rise togetherReally hit 32.7%Multiplying the legs said 25.2% · our model said 29.4%
- Two legs that tend to go opposite waysReally hit 17.3%Multiplying the legs said 24.8% · our model said 20.5%
- Three legs from one gameReally hit 12.2%Multiplying the legs said 12.4% · our model said 12.5%
On legs that are linked, our model is much closer, though still a little cautious: they hit slightly more often than it says. On a random mix of three legs the two come out about the same, because most legs in a game are barely linked. Sportsbooks know about this too and price same-game parlays with it in mind.
